Privacy Policy
Effective 8/3/2026
Blackbird Custom Exterior Shutters operates blackbirdshutters.com. This policy explains what we collect through this website and what you can do about it.
What we collect. When you fill out a form or contact us, we collect what you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and the contents of your message. When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the site or search that referred you, and your approximate location based on IP address, generally at the city level.
Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files a website places on your device. We also use related technologies including tags and browser storage. Some are necessary for the site to work — navigation, security, and form submission. Others are analytics cookies.
We use Google Tag Manager (Google LLC) to manage the tags on our site, and two analytics services:
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), which collects the automatic information described above so we can see how visitors find and use the site.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which collects information about clicks, scrolling, and page interaction that we review as aggregate heatmaps and session summaries.
Both providers may combine this information with other data they hold about you. Their own privacy policies describe their practices.
Controlling cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits to any site, or turn on Global Privacy Control — a setting in some browsers and extensions that signals an opt-out automatically, which we honor where applicable law requires. You can also email us with any request about your information. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
How we use it. To respond to your inquiries, send information you asked for, operate and improve the site, protect against fraud and security problems, and meet our legal obligations. We don’t make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with. Vendors who work on our behalf — website hosting, form processing, email delivery, customer relationship management, marketing services, and analytics — and only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose information where we believe in good faith it’s required by law, subpoena, or court order, or necessary to protect someone’s rights or safety, and information may transfer as part of a sale or merger of the business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. Email us if you’d like the current list of vendors we use.
Other websites. We link to sites and services we don’t operate. When you follow a link off this site, you leave our control. This policy doesn’t cover those sites and we’re not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.
Your choices. Email or call to ask what information we hold about you, get a copy, correct anything inaccurate, delete it, or stop receiving marketing messages. We’ll verify your identity before acting, which may mean asking for information that matches our records, and we’ll respond in a reasonable timeframe. If we can’t do what you asked, we’ll tell you why. Asking us to do any of this won’t affect the service or pricing you receive.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There’s no agreed standard for how sites should respond, so we don’t act on it. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described above.
How long we keep it. We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, and longer where a law requires it. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Security. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission and access controls. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children. This site isn’t directed to children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes. We may update this policy. If we do, we’ll change the date above, and we’ll post a notice on the site for significant changes.
